Following a motorcycle accident in the early 90s, Andrew Thomas began to sell and distribute secondary metal trim and panels from a local sheet metal manufacturer.
Originally using local livestock auctions as a location to retail these products, Andy began to be fondly referred to as the "Tin-Man."
As demand increased and business volume grew, Andy opened up a physical retail location here on Blue Ridge Blvd in Kansas City in 1992.
Approaching 30 years later, Tin Man has shifted from selling secondary metal, but also has a full line of custom trim, panels and accessories from many manufacturers, where we are Kansas City's "One-Stop Shop" for metal building products.
