This is the fastest way to get a new roof but I don't particularly recommend it.
This is when you get a new layer of shingles installed over the top of your existing shingles.
Code only allows a max of two layers on a roof.
One major reason I don't push for roof-overs is that you don't get a chance to get down to the deck sheathing to see if there was any wood rot caused by leaks or other damages but you do save yourself some money by eliminating the tear-off and detailing processes.
This is my preferred type of roof install.
