He continued his education at the University of North Carolina, acquiring a BA in English Literature in 1969.
He then entered the Naval Flight School in June of 1969, completing the Naval Jet Training program and receiving his "wings" in October of 1970.
Mr. Wallace flew A-4 Skyhawks and F-4 Phantoms and left the services as a Commander serving eight years on active duty and an additional 7 years in the Naval Reserves.
He continued his education at the University of North Carolina, acquiring a BA in English Literature in 1969.
