Elite Roof Systems
Lower your energy costs up to 30%, stop all roof leaks and eliminate costly roofing expenses. We believe Service is about taking care of the customer. Service has nothing to do with a roof. It is about communication and being responsive. Repair and Maintenance is what happens to the roof after a relationship has been developed by providing great service up front.

Richard was the ONLY contractor out of 5 people who quoted my roof, who called when he was going to be late, and even then, he was only 5 minutes late! That meant a lot to me because it showed that he valued my time as much as his. When some issues arose along the way, he did everything in his power to make them all right! He made us feel like he was truly concerned with our happiness with the project and he did everything to make it all right.

We truly feel that he conducted himself in our best interest! The project was finished on time and it looks amazing! We would have him back for more work in a heartbeat and will defiantly recommend him to our friends and family!

My name is Richard Tooley and I am the founder and President of Elite Roof Systems, a Kansas City commercial roofing company.
I have been in the roofing industry for a little over 30 years and have had the pleasure of working with many great clients in the commercial, industrial, and residential sectors of the roofing industry.
After about 16 years in the industry, I noticed that the quality of workmanship was dwindling away in the roofing industry; primarily because most of the competition began using sub-contract labor.
There are 7 major threats to all commercial roofing systems.
Below we will identify each of them, so you can understand how each will affect the life of your roof.
During our Smartinspect roof survey we will identify each of these roof threats and how we can help you resolve the problems.
Ponding water will rapidly deteriorate your roofing membrane causing leaks and sagging, which in turn creates more ponding water.
With Commercial flat roofs it can be difficult to detect hail damage unless the hail is rather large (golf ball sized or larger; 2 plus in size).
What is ponding water - an accumulation of water that settles on the roof for more than 48 hours without draining or evaporating.
What's wrong with a little water on the roof - it's meant to get wet, isn't it?
It may seem like a small amount of water, but it can quickly have disastrous effects on your commercial roof.
Commercial roofing materials are designed to shed rain water but are NOT designed to withstand ponding water for long periods of time.
Ponding water will rapidly deteriorate your roofing membrane causing leaks and sagging, which in turn creates more ponding water.
A roof can leak for days, weeks, or even months before it is noticed inside the building; causing severe damage to your roofs insulation, membrane, roof substrate, and interior damage.
A roof can absorb as much as 50-gallon of water before the insulation becomes saturated enough to finally leak inside the building.
When water penetrates through the roof membrane it will begin to saturate and spread through the insulation.
Each year commercial business owners and managers spend literally billions of dollars to repair damages caused by leaks in the flat roofs covering their commercial facilities.
With Commercial flat roofs it can be difficult to detect hail damage unless the hail is rather large (golf ball sized or larger; 2 plus in size).
Many times it is hard to detect hail damage and the effects of hail damage until later.
Asphalt Built-Up Roofs: An asphalt build-up roof and a tar and gravel roof are the most difficult to determine hail damage.
A sample must be taken after gravel has been swept off and cut out and sent to a forensics laboratory that specializes in hail damage to determine if the layers of the built-up asphalt roof have been damaged.
