Built up roofing is an excellent for low-slope roofs.
This low-maintenance option is durable and can provide excellent waterproofing and drainage.
Built-up roofing is also highly compatible with white reflective coatings and tapered roof insulation to maximize efficiency and drainage slopes.
These roofs are topped with plies of asphalt and felt.
Because of the bare asphalt and felt plies, built-up roofs are more susceptible to wind damage than gravel roofs.
Standing water from blocked drainage can cause leakage on these flatter roofs as water levels rise, so light maintenance is required from time to time to check seals and clear drains.
