Every man owes a part of his time and money to the business or industry in which he is engaged. No man has a moral right to withhold his support. The Central Florida Roofing and Sheet Metal Association was established in 1955 as an affiliate of the Florida Roofing Sheet Metal & Air Conditioning Contractors Association. Although our goals are similar, CFRSA deals with issues that affect our members on the local level.

Florida Building Commission (FBC) committees begin meeting this week to consider requests to preserve Florida-specific building regulations for the 2013 code cycle. Without approval by the Commission, the codes will disappear in favor of a generic, international code that will likely result in less protection and higher property insurance rates for Florida residents.

Protect yourself and your property by understanding who is Authorized / qualified to work for you! CFRSA is proud to be a supporter of local charity organizations such as The Russell Home for Atypical Children.

In today's economy how do you know that the "roofer" you choose is Professional, Licensed, Insured and honest?
With so many so called "contractors" it is up to you the consumer to do you're homework on a contractor before you hire them.
You should never take the "contractors" word or written word to be true.
You need to first verify their license and you can do that by going to The Department of Business & Professional Regulation.
Only State Certified Roofing Contractors can Replace a roof or perform roof repairs.
Here in Florida every home and business owner knows that roof repair and/or replacement is inevitable.
Brutal summer heat, severe storms and hurricanes take a beating on our roofs year after year.
These extremes lead to unexpected repairs as well as unexpected costs.
While roof management will prolong the life of a roof, at some point we are all faced with the major decision of whether to repair or replace our roofs?
Selecting a reputable, reliable contractor is a very important decision.
Unlicensed, uncertified, unprincipled "storm chasers" that contact Floridians for a quick fix can result in poor workmanship that masks problems causing more damage to your home or business in the future.
