This is a customized heavy duty 26 gauge galvanized sheet metal flashing which is installed INTO the brick and mortar.
This keeps rain from entering your house where the roof and chimney meet.
In many instances, when a wide chimney (over 36) is towards the bottom of the roof slope, a cricket is necessary behind the chimney.
This is a wood frame ridge into the center of the back of the chimney creating two valleys.
