At Specification Chemicals, Inc. we specialize in the manufacturing of roofing and wall restoration coatings that are time-tested, user-friendly, and "green" in a number of ways. In addition to manufacturing coatings, we also convert polyester fabrics for roofing. Our products are sold to consumers, contractors, distributors, and private-label for the roofing industry.
Specification Chemicals, Inc. has been a family-owned company since 1975. The company was founded by Clarence Ball, who started out working in the lumber industry in Arizona. He moved to Minnesota and, with the help of a large chemical company, formulated and developed the White Plastic products.

Nu-Wal is a quick and efficient system for repairing damaged plaster walls and ceilings.
The #2500 coating and fiberglass mat reinforce the entire surface with a fine-textured fiberglass mat embedded in an elastomeric adhesive.
This creates a surface that resists impacts and abrasions.
Cracks in exterior or interior surfaces do not come back as they do with patching compounds.
Nu-Wal conforms to all the requirements of ASTM E-1795 and ASTM E-1797 of liquid coatings for leaded paint in buildings.

Plaster is hand trowelled when it is applied.
This makes it difficult to have perfectly straight lines at both inside and outside corners.
When starting or ending at either an inside or outside corner it is necessary to "wrap around" inside corners (about 1 inch) and cut the fiberglass at the center of the turn.
Remove the 1 fiberglass and coat with #2500.
This procedure also eliminates the need to have the fiberglass perfectly plumb.
Outside corners are also cut in a similar way.
When you start a wall at either corner, do not stop the application until you have completed the entire surface to the next corner.

Pol-E-Scrim Roofing System is used on roof surfaces of plywood, oriented strand board (OSB), cured concrete, or Dens Deck roof board.
This system requires a fairly smooth substrate.
Also, keep in mind that the temperature and humidity affect the curing time.
Do not apply the Pol-E-Scrim, Vap-R-Lok or White Plastic at temperatures below 50F, or if the temperature will fall below 40F within 24 hours.
Do not apply if it will rain within 24 hours.
Your roof is not dried in until the coating is completely cured.
