Stop researching and use Chris. I chose Chris because of the great job he did on a few of my neighbor's homes. From the moment I contacted Chris he educated me on the entire process and provided a summary about what would happen every step of the way. The crew that showed up on the day of the job was quick and respectful. The crew dropped off materials the day before and prepped the home by adding tarps and coverings to various areas on the exterior of our home.
After the job was done, they did multiple checks around my home looking for debris, specifically nails (I have a toddler and 2 dogs). Chris even came back a few days later to check for more nails. This was a huge sign of the commitment of Chris and his team to take care of the owner's property and not just take my money and run. I've heard of many stories of roofers leaving behind dozens of nails throughout their property. Truthfully, I've only found 2 in our front mulch beds (where neither dogs or son play) and I'm not going to knock him for missing ONLY 2 nails in obscure places out of the hundreds that likely fell off the roof. Lastly, Chris was patient and respectful dealing with my insurance company (USAA). First, I was sent a check for the wrong amount, then a wrong name. Finally, the last check wasn't sent for weeks because my agent "didn't see my message" about releasing the final funds. Even without payment, Chris worked with me to schedule the job and even perform the job understanding payment was coming. Overall, I cannot recommend Chris highly enough.
